Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed

  • ½ cup granulated sugar or brown sugar for richer flavor
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional add-ins: 1/2 cup chopped nuts chocolate chips, or dried fruit

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • Prepare wet ingredients: In another bowl, mash the bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Notes

  • Customizations: Swap all-purpose flour for almond or whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.
  • Dietary Adjustments: Use flax eggs and plant-based butter for a vegan version.
  • Storage: Wrap cooled bread in plastic wrap or foil. Store at room temperature for 3 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
